THE
PATH TO LOVE: Renewing the Power of Spirit in Your Life
Deepak Chopra Since love is only possible in relationships: self to God, self to intimate partners, self to family, friends, coworkers, humanity, natural life, etc., it is plainly and obviously "IT". Chopra speaks not only from the inner, higher truths of love, but also from outer examples. He speaks of letting go, surrender, attachment, passion, ecstasy, etc. Emotion is the "fire" that initiates action, and love is the highest an ultimate spiritual emotion. THE WHEEL OF LIFE: A
Memoir of Living and Dying Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, MD This is an extraordinary life story of a very special woman. Being born the first and smallest of female triplets (2+ lbs.), it took an incredible effort of will and purpose to survive, and it is this same God-given will and purpose that has been the dominant characteristic throughout her life of service. She is known primarily for her pioneering efforts in the medical field relative to attitudes in acceptance of death and dying, going on to focus on life beyond death, and finally, the understanding and exemplification that life is for awakened living, inclusively caring and sharing with all other life. As a young girl in Switzerland, her decisions and choices were counter to traditional behavior for females of that period, but she completed her medical training despite opposition from various sources including her own father. At the close of W.W.II, the young Elizabeth went alone to Poland to work with abused prisoners from Nazi war camps. Just as Mother Theresa had a clear destiny for service within the religious ambience, so Elizabeth had a clear destiny for service as a physician/psychologist in the hardship of war-torn Europe. She eventually came to America with her husband, Emmanuel Ross, likewise a physician, and in spite of a service-packed life, she managed to mother two children. Life has not been easy for her, as many times the very people she desired to help turned against her. She is now in her 70's and even recently she has been burned out of her home by neighbors who feared the Aids Center she intended to establish in their community. This is a woman of extraordinary clear, one-pointed vision, dedication and courage, who has devoted her entire life on behalf of humanity and all life on the planet, clearly understanding that all service is the expression of God's love manifest through her.
